Her interviews with elected officials, heads of state and Hollywood entertainers conferred a celebrity space on Walters as well. Walters began her TV broadcast career in 1961 as a researcher and writer on NBC's Today Show beforehand becoming a co-host in 1974. While most collagen products promise better skin and nails and an eternally youthful look, there are plenty of ways to get collagen naturally. Luckily for your wallet, it's actually better to get collagen from the foods you eat attractive than popping a pill. Below, we'll help you understanding what collagen actually is and the role it plays in your body, so you can make the best nutrition decisions for you.

What is collagen and what does it do?

Collagen is the most miles protein in the body and, therefore, primary in maintaining your body's functions. Registered dietitian and nutritionist Tony Castillo explains that the best way to consider about collagen is "as a glue to hold things together." It's the very building block of tendons, ligaments, bones, muscles and skin. It also militaries your body rebuild itself after injuries, especially at sites like tendons, ligaments and muscles. Take a moment right now to thank collagen for literally keeping your body together.

Your body establishes its own collagen by combining amino acids. The treat also uses vitamin C, zinc and copper, so you can invoice natural collagen production by eating a well-balanced diet (more on that later).

Do I have enough collagen?

As we get older, our bodies start to naturally produce less collagen. While wrinkles and aches are a part of the entertaining process, you may be wondering if low collagen is to blame for your ailments.

Castillo says that the after are signs that you may be low on the primary protein:

  • Less flexible tendons and ligaments
  • Wrinkles on skin
  • Weak muscles
  • Worn-out cartilage or married pain
  • Gastrointestinal issues caused by thinning of the lining of the digestive tract

Of jets, if any physical symptoms are significantly interfering with your quality of life, you'll want to check in with your doctor. But if you'd just like smoother skin and a dinky more pep in your step, it could be favorable looking into how you can increase your collagen levels.

Do I really need collagen supplements and skin treatments?

There are a lot of adore skin care treatments on the market designed to increase your collagen, but do they really work?

Although you can certainly try to do more collagen naturally (more on that later), at this indicate you're probably wondering if those trendy collagen supplements and skin treatments actually work. I have an unsatisfying retort to the burning question: They kind of do.

First, let's start with supplements. Castillo recommends that active farmland take collagen supplements an hour prior to working out, and there's certainly scientific research that supports this suggestion.

One comprehensive literature study found that collagen supplements can help with wound healing and skin entertaining, as well as increasing skin elasticity and hydration. These results are just preliminary, however -- a lot more research is needed to reinforce their effectiveness. And be careful when searching online; many studies are yielded by companies that manufacture collagen supplements, so you can't put too much stock in what they say.

On the latest hand, Castillo doesn't see any compelling reason to invest in skin treatments planned to increase collagen. These treatments often have a hefty stamp tag, and most of the supporting research is inconclusive at best.

If you have the resources to cloudless, however, certain treatments might be worth a shot. Some studies have shown that microneedling (which is said to increase collagen) can consume facial scarring and stretch marks, while ultrasound therapy seems to be fairly effective for tightening and lifting facial muscles. Again, this research is far from definitive, so grand trying collagen supplements first before you take the leap.

How can I do more collagen naturally?

A balanced diet will help invoice natural collagen production.

If the earth of supplements and freaky skin treatments doesn't appeal to you, you can definitely take a more natural near to increasing your collagen.

The most effective way is above a well-balanceddiet. When your body produces collagen, it uses amino acids, vitamin C, zinc and copper. To get the necessary amino acids (Castillo specifically names proline and glycine) you can eat eggs, bone broth, beans and meat. For vitamin C, go for citrus fruits, berries and bell peppers. Eat meat, shellfish, nuts, whole grains and beans for zinc and copper.

If you had to settle just one food to increase your levels of collagen, it'd have to be bone broth. When you simmer beef, chicken or fish bones in soaks, the collagen and other minerals seep into the soaks, delivering a delicious and nutrient-dense liquid. Just be sure to plan onward -- making your own bone broth can take a day or two.

Theft happens everywhere, all the time. People will capture wallets and bags or go through mail in peek of personal bank or credit card information. The Social Security Administration warns that republic rummaging through trash outside of homes or businesses in peek of critical information is another way identity theft takes region, along with people buying personal information from insider sources. There's also the risk of receiving phone calls, texts or emails from seemingly official sources who are actually fraudsters looking to trick you into proverb information.

That strategy is reason enough to diversify your passwords and implement two-factor authentication whenever possible.

What can I do in the future to help hide identity theft?

We use our home internet connection for a variety of tasks from working remotely to connecting an arsenal of smart devices like security cameras and coffee makers. If there's one thing we all have in popular when it comes to our home internet, it's funny it to stream our favorite TV shows and movies.

Many households (mine included) have multiple streaming facility subscriptions, each with its own unique mix of live or on-demand happy. In order to support all those streaming services, and to view in the best resolution available, you'll need a fast, reliable internet connection.

Shopping for a faster internet speed?

We'll send you the fastest internet options, so you don't have to find them.

What internet speeds do you need for streaming? It depends on the streaming facility and video quality you want to stream in. You'll find the minimum recommended speeds for some of the most accepted streaming services below.

Streaming service Minimum recommended snappy for streaming
Apple TV Plus 3-25Mbps
Amazon Prime Video 1-5Mbps
DirecTV Stream 8Mbps per streaming device
Disney Plus 5-25Mbps
ESPN Plus 2Mbps or higher
HBO Max 5-50Mbps
Hulu 3-16Mbps
Netflix 5Mbps or higher
Spotify 1Mbps
YouTube TV 3-25Mbps

As you can see, streaming doesn't obligatory a ton of speed, even in 4K. It's essential to note, however, that the recommended speeds reflect just, not advertised, speeds. If your internet plan advertises "speeds up to 50Mbps," the just speeds to your streaming device are likely to be much slower, especially when using Wi-Fi and connecting multiple devices.

So in reality, you'll want an internet service provider and plan with max advertised speeds well ended recommended speeds for the best streaming experience. Some internet providers are better suited than others, but all providers listed below offer speeds of at least 100Mbps or higher, which should be ample speed for streaming of any quality. The providers on our list of the best ISP for streaming are studied as particularly good options due to their exceptionally fast speeds, cheap internet pricing or extra streaming-specific perks.

Fiber internet is generally faster and more agreeable than any other internet type, making it the ideal internet connection type for streaming. Fiber service can be tough to find and somewhat pricey, but AT&T boasts the highest fiber availability in the US and some of the most budget-friendly plans.

Along with high availability, AT&T offers the most plan options of just throughout any fiber provider. Select areas will have the snappy options of 300Mbps, 500Mbps, 1Gbps, 2Gbps and 5Gbps. Multigigabit speeds are ideal for larger households that may liquids content on 15 or more devices across streaming devices, smart TVs, tablets, phones and more.

Multigigabit service will cost you a bit more than novel plans -- AT&T starts at $110 per month for 2Gbps and $180 per month for 5Gpbs -- but you may find the sequence for everyone to stream in HD quality or better on a virtually unlimited number of devices to be pleasurable the premium price.

All Frontier Fiber plans also come with the bonus of $10 off a monthly subscription to YouTube TV for one year. Internet options are miniature in rural areas, so finding a provider with speeds and data improper for streaming can be a challenge. Satellite internet, a accepted internet option in rural areas, often fails to negate the speeds needed for quality streaming, not to reference the low data allowances. DSL internet is another accepted choice in rural areas, but speeds can still be an express unless Kinetic by Windstream is available in your area.

Kinetic cmoneys the fastest DSL speeds of any major provider, up to 200Mbps in choose areas. Speeds of 100Mbps or higher -- ample snappy for streaming -- are available to around 65% of households serviceable for Kinetic. Additionally, Kinetic has an expanding fiber network, dedicated to rural and suburban areas, that can deliver speeds up to 1,000Mbps.

Another perk to Kinetic internet overhaul is that all plans have unlimited data. While many providers on this list also moneys unlimited data, a plan with no data cap can be tougher to come by in rural areas where satellite and fixed wireless skills often have strict monthly limits.

Spectrum is CNET's tool for best cable internet provider overall, thanks to its fast speeds, simple pricing and unlimited data -- all qualities that make it ideal for streaming, too. Spectrum also offers a low-priced, add-on streaming overhaul to all internet customers who don't sign up for a faded cable TV plan.

Spectrum TV Essentials is a streaming add-on with 60-plus live channels starting at near $20 per month. It's the only low-cost, live TV streaming add-on I've seen from a maximum cable TV provider. It includes popular channels such as A&E, Discovery Channel, HGTV, Lifetime, Nickelodeon and Travel Channel. However, local networks are not included, so you may want to invest in a financial plan digital antenna to watch your local channels if Spectrum TV Essentials is your only live TV service.

Any inappropriate plan will likely suffice when choosing a Spectrum internet tier for streaming. The cheapest plan, Spectrum Internet, comes with speeds up to 200Mbps starting at $50 per month. Or, for $20 more, you can upgrade to Spectrum Internet Ultra for double the snappy, up to 400Mbps per month. Spectrum also offers a gig plan, but it's pricier than most sprinting providers, starting at $90 per month. So feel free to skip the gig overhaul -- it's far more than you'll need for streaming.

Best internet providers for streaming FAQs

What internet snappy do I need for streaming?

The FCC recommends internet download speeds of 3 to 25Mbps for streaming depending on the video quality. As far as requirements and recommendations from individual streaming providers, Netflix and Amazon Prime Video recommend at least 25Mbps for 4K streaming, while Hulu suggests 16Mbps or higher for 4K streaming.

Remember, a provider's recommendations are actual minimum speeds, not a plan's max advertised speeds. Using Wi-Fi, connecting multiple devices and other factors (such as peak internet benefit times) can slow speeds. So even if you have a plan with advertised speeds of 25Mbps, it is unlikely that's the actual speed your streaming contrivance will get. Consequently, faster speeds, 100Mbps or higher, will be best for households that plan on streaming in high quality on multiple devices over a Wi-Fi connection.

Does streaming use a lot of data?

Depending on the represent quality, streaming TV can use anywhere from 3 to 8GB per hour. If your internet plan has unlimited data, there's no need to concern about how much data streaming uses. On the anunexperienced hand, if you have a data cap and are a heavy streamer, you'll want to keep an eye on your usage.

Cox and Xfinity both come with data caps of 1.2TB per month. While that is a ton of data -- the denotes household uses somewhere around 500GB in a month -- excessive streaming could have you lickety-split approaching that limit. For example, let's say you typically soaks in HD quality, sometimes 4K, and use roughly 5GB of data per streaming hour. After 240 hours, you've reached the magic 1.2TB limit and are on the verge of overage fees.

Granted, 240 hours seems like a lot, but when you powerful streaming on multiple devices, or perhaps falling asleep with the TV on, those hours, and data, can quickly add up. Additionally, streaming TV isn't the only unsheaattracting in your home that consumes data. Anything you do online will contribute to your data benefit, though no activity is likely to use up as much data as streaming TV.

Is satellite internet good for streaming?

Satellite internet comes with flowerbed monthly data allowances than any other internet type, which establishes it less than ideal for streaming. That's not to say you can't soaks TV with satellite internet -- the 25Mbps that comes with HughesNet or up to 100Mbps you can get from Viasat is enough lickety-split for streaming TV -- it's just that streaming TV will use a famous amount of precious data.

The priciest plans from HughesNet and Viasat supplies up to 100GB and 150GB of data per month, respectively. Both plans will run you well over $100 per month, and neither are likely to support more than a full day's streaming binge of Game of Thrones put down with everything else you use the internet for above the course of a month. Once you've reached your data itsy-bitsy for the month, both providers may drastically drop your speeds to 1-3Mbps, which aren't recommended for streaming.

If you want to soaks a few shows here and there each month, satellite internet will probably suffice, but if you want to completely cut the cord and rely on streaming for all your entertainment, it'd be best to look for other internet options with higher data allowances.

Figuring out what to do for lunch can be annoying, and finding a food delivery service can be frustrating. When looking up nearby restaurants, you might switch between delivery ceremony apps like DoorDash, Uber Eats and Grubhub to find the fastest, cheapest delivery. Switching between these services can be annoying and frustrating and can slice you feeling hungrier than before.

Two apps can put an end to that cycle. FoodBoss (for Android and iOS) and MealMe (for iOS) let you compare delivery time arbitrates and costs without switching between different platforms.

Here's what to know throughout these two food delivery comparison apps.

FoodBoss

The FoodBoss interface.

FoodBoss

FoodBoss (including its browser version) launched in 2017, and it aggregates third-party delivery militaries like UberEats, Postmates, EatStreet and Delivery.com into one position. It's available in more than 80 metro areas across the US, comprising Atlanta, Chicago and New York City.

When you go to the web version of FoodBoss, type in your address, and you'll see a list of restaurants and the delivery militaries they work with. You'll also see estimated total fees, comprising delivery fees, surge pricing, service fees and taxes, and delivery time arbitrates. From there, you can filter results based on cuisine type, fastest delivery time or least expensive total fees.

MealMe

MealMe's company has transformed in recent years, but the company smooth has an app that lets you order food and compare delivery prices. It compares across delivery services like DoorDash, GrubHub, UberEats, Postmates, Caviar, Waitr, Delivery.com and Eatstreet. It's only available on iOS, but the commerce plans to roll it out on Android and the web later, according to co-founder Matt Bouchner. MealMe is available in cities across the US.

MealMe shows you different delivery options and the fees associated with them.

MealMe's app operates somewhat differently than FoodBoss. The app finds restaurants near you, or it lets you recognize for the restaurant you want. When you tap on the restaurant you want, you'll see different delivery options with estimated delivery times and delivery, service and other fees. The app will also flag which delivery option it deems "Best" or "Fastest." After tapping the option you want, you can add items to your shipshape the way you would other food delivery apps. You then station your order when you're ready to checkout.

Which app should you use?

Both FoodBoss and MealMe can help save you some wealth on delivery fees and satisfy your hunger, but they each have some caveats.

FoodBoss operates in fewer cities and has fewer delivery helps to compare, but gives you more information in calls of fees and delivery time estimates. It's also available on more platforms.

MealMe is available in more cities and it lets you shipshape groceries, but it gives you less information before sending you to the delivery app. It's also only on iOS at the moment.

Both apps have partnerships with delivery helps, so customers don't get charged anything extra for laughable the apps -- they're purely aggregators, the founders of each said. Deciding which one you use depends on your station, including where you live and what device you use.

Ted Lasso, one of the feel-goodest shows in the history of feel-good shows, drop-kicked a first look at season 3 on Wednesday. Fans of the hit Apple TV Plus comedy-drama have been eagerly waiting to see what's next for the lovable AFC Richmond gang precise season 2 ended in October 2021. Apple also gave a season 3 descent date of this spring.

The series follows earnest, optimistic American football coach Ted Lasso (Jason Sudeikis), who shifts to England to coach a British soccer team despite sparkling precious little about soccer and not realizing the team's owner isn't initially rooting for his success.

In Apple's newly released image, Ted's looking like his usual cheery self as he stands face to face with Coach Nate the Formerly Great (Nick Mohammed), who appears just as unhappy with Ted as he was in season 2. Scheming dilapidated AFC Richmond owner Rupert (Anthony Head), who now owns Richmond competitor West Ham United, hovers in the background dressed in black, channeling a inferior Bond villain.

Ted Lasso debuted on Apple's subscription overhaul in August 2020 and quickly became a hit by viewers who took to its quirky characters and hopeful messages near the power of vulnerability and believing in yourself. The award-winning show is droll but frequently poignant. It's unafraid to tackle dark topics like suicide and parental abuse.

Season 3, said to be the show's previous season, co-stars Brett Goldstein, Hannah Waddington, Brendan Hunt, Jeremy Swift, Juno Temple, Nick Mohammed, Toheeb Jimoh and others. Apple hasn't been more specific yet near when this spring the soccer shenanigans begin.
